Photo Session, Brea & Family
Saturday I had another great opportunity to take pictures of one of my co-workers & friends family pictures. Brea, Nathan & Katie were so much fun!! Despite the chilly weather we were able to get some great shots of the family, and Katie's fun little personality.

Happy Birthday Kristine!

Yesterday was one of my BFF's birthday. That's right! The world celebrates that special day with her. I know we all think that on the 17th of March we celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but really it's a celebration in honor of PK (our nickname for Kristine).
Let me take you back to the day when I met Kris in High School. It was in Orchestra, Kris rocks it on the Cello, and I play the Violin - I should say "played" because I certainly don't play it much these days, which I'm sure the angels in the heavens are leaping for joy - really, I AM that bad. Anyway, back to Orchestra, 1993 as Sophomores at Orem High. I didn't know her because she went to the rival Jr. High School, Canyon View, as I went to Lakeridge. I was a little afraid of her because of her expert Cello skills were quite intimidating. It was our Senior year of high school that we became friends, (I'm pretty sure that's when it was, correct me if I'm wrong, Kris). We went with a big group to Sadie Hawkins...man those plaid shirts were AWESOME!!
My memory after that gets a little foggy, but we continued to be friends after graduation; going to the same singles ward. Actually, she and our other friends wanted me to switch singles ward so I could be in their ward and be with the gang,( Kris, Jaimi Young, Wendy Smith, Megan Leeper, Tiffany Smith, Marilyn Hullinger...ummm...am I forgetting someone?? Those were good times doing drive-by's, going to Institute dances, road trips, drive-by's, etc. Then I went to China, Chile and came home and of course everyone was married...but not Kris. She and I continued to be BFF's.
She was the one I could tell anything to, the one who would laugh at me when I was silly, who didn't make me feel like a nerd, even though I was...am. She was always coming up with fun things to do, and to always make everyone feel included. It's because of her that we all still have contact with each other.
13 years later she still one of my BFF's. We still have as much fun as we did back in the day. We laugh until we cry, we even made a pact, with Michelle Bailey, that we can fart in front of each other and not frown upon it. We make sure that we tell each other if we have a "cliff hanger", you know what I'm talking about.
So, to you Kris on your very special day, yesterday, I salute you and wish you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
This is the only recent picture I have of Kris. This was taken last week when Kris, Brooke Bailey, Michelle Bailey - in spirit (she's in Nashville right now, we sure missed having her there) and myself enjoying a night out at Wingers. It's not the best picture - it was taken on my cell phone.

Flight of the Conchords

If anyone has watched this show on HBO you know how funny it is. Flight of the Conchords is about two guys from New Zealand who are living in New York trying to get their band going. In each episode they always have a couple of songs that they do - where it coincides with whatever is going on in that specific episode. The songs are random and hilarious. The guys in general are just plain funny!! I highly recommend watching it if you get HBO. If you don't then check out the clips of these music videos on Youtube.com. Here are a few of my favorite....
Ok, I can't figure how to turn these into links. I tried and it won't work. Just copy and paste it on your web browser.

Photo session
So, Saturday I had the wonderful opportunity of taking pictures of my friends daughter, Chasia Jensen. Violeta and I work together at XanGo. Not only are we co-workers, but she's a really good friend too.
Those of you who know me, know that my favorite pictures of kids are the kind where they're not all posed and smiling, but showing their personality up close. I think we definitely were able to capture Chasia's personality on these pictures. Enjoy!
