Megan and the boys

A very impromptu photo session that we did this afternoon of my sister Megan and her boys, Kalin (13) and Kai (8). The light was fading fast and we were racing to get something. We'll be doing another session on Saturday, so I'll post some from that session.

We didn't get a good one of Kai alone (due to the lack of lighting), but for sure next time. In the mean time here are a few of my favorites.

Coldplay

As Ryan says in his blog I've become quite the "socialite" lately. I went to the NKOTB concert last weekend, saw Twilight the night it came out, and this weekend went to see Coldplay. My! What an AMAZING concert it was, and what an eventful couple of weeks it has been.

I've been to a handful or so of concerts in my life, but never to a rock concert. It was SOO good!!! Chris Martin is so talented!!

I went with my good friend Kristine & Anna, Molly and Allison.

Here are some pics...In the car on the way to the concert...woohoo!

Twilight

Did I see it? Yes! Midnight reserved seating at Thanksgiving Point (we had the best seats!)I went with Erin, Violeta and Sadie.

Did I like it? No...I LOVED it!!!!

Would I see it again? I'm thinking of going in the next few days. Does that answer your question??

Do I now have the soundtrack to it? YES!!! Thanks TJ! (my boss gave the managers a copy...track 11 is my fave!) :)

Pure entertainment

Me and my sister Erin. This was done a few years ago, Ryan just found it on our old computer and thought it was 'youtube' worthy. This is one of the Indigo Girls songs, 'Romeo & Juliet'. It's hilrious how crazy Erin get's into the song...I love it!!

After 18 years...

...we got to see them strut their stuff again!

Erin, Karen J, and her neice Kassidy and Erin's friend Rob all went to see NKOTB in concert at the E Center Saturday night...and OH! what a night it was!!! Quinn got us tickets in section 102, row 9...they were awesome seats! Thanks Quinn!

We started the night at Cracker Barrel. Karen, Kass, and I waited for Erin and Rob to arrive so we did some browsing in their store. Once we got seated the Hostess asked us if we were going to "The Concert". Beaming and grinning from ear to ear we replied,

"why yes we are."

She then told us the most amazing thing...

"Those guys came and ate breakfast here this morning, and what a crowd we had!"

"SHUT-UP!!" was our reply...

That's right, we were in the same place they were that morning. OH HAPPY DAY!!! I hurry and called Ryan to tell him the news, to which his reply was,

"this is why you're calling me?"

Yeah, he didn't exactly have the same feelings I did about the subject.

We then searched the premises to see if there were other 'middle aged female fans' hanging around eating dinner and waiting for the concert to start. We saw 3 girls wearing homemade t-shirts that mentioned something like 'Jordan, I'll be you "Valentine Girl", or 'Joe, I'll have your baby'...or something to that nature. We wished at that moment that we had rummaged through our old stash of NKOTB memorabilia and put on every single button, hat or T-shirt, we had collected during those times, to wear to the concert.

While we waited we even saw girls who had the same old buttons we had - they also were carrying an NKOTB Ken doll...ok, we never went that far with our Memorabilia...too funny!

For those of you who knew us when we were young in our NKOTB days you know how spazzy, and crazy obsessed we were with them...this night was no exception! It was so fun to reminisce about those days. Ah! The memories...

Ok, back to the concert. (this get's better...I promise...keep reading)

So, we found our seats while Lady Gaga was performing...I wasn't impressed with her.(I guess this picture below is supposed to be my "I'm not impressed" look...or something)

Natasha Bedingfield was next and she was AMAZING!

Then...the lights turned off and it seemed that all hell broke loose. They had this message on the screen that said...

"AFTER 15 YEARS THE BOYS ARE BACK" (or something like that).

We LOST it!!!!! Next thing we know is that Karen is crying!!!! (see pic. below...you can see the tears streaming down her face)

We were laughing so hard because we were so excited...she even got my emotions going. Yes, Ryan, the tear ducts in my eyes went a little nuts and let a few out. (He was making fun of me before, asking me if I was going to cry. Of course I told him I wouldn't...I BLAME KAREN! :)

All in all it was an awesome night!

They sang some of their new songs, but we really went crazy for their old stuff, especially when they did all the old dance moves they used to do.

I used Erin's camera to take some pictures but she hasn't emailed them to me yet so I'm using some pics I found on line from their concerts during this tour. Karen also recorded the song, 'tonight' on her cell phone; waiting to see that too. :)

I realize this was a lengthy post, but I hope it was all worth it!! Hahah!!

These guys were seriously amazing!!

An amazing finale that I wish I could have captured on video, oh well I'm sure it's on youtube

Thanks for the memories, Boys! It was well worth the 18 year wait. :)
