Hottie Kristine - Photo session

It was so much fun to take pics of one of my BFF's, Kristine Herlevi. This girl has got killer blue eyes! I love how they turned out against the black wall. Seriously Kris...hottie!!!

I couldn't decide on the color or black & white with this one.

Same with this one...

Ha ha, love this one!

I had the wonderful opportunity to take Maryn's pictures at Gardner Village Saturday. We knew them from our old ward up in Salt Lake - love them!! I love how much personality this girl has. She was so much fun!! Thanks Deb!

Can you believe she's only 3?! So cute!!

New lens

After the fun session at Gardner village I went straight to getting me a new lens. One that I've looked at for a while and have wanted. It's a canon 50mm f1.8 ll lens. It takes awesome close-up shots. Here are some that I took around the house - just for fun.

Just noticing that my rings are getting a little yellow, time to take them in and get them plated with rodium - dang white gold!

Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere.

I went to Gardner Village early this morning for a photo shoot of an adorable little girl (I'll be posting pictures soon). Anyway, it was so fun to see all the cool Halloween things they had up; tons of pumpkins, barrels of hay and lots and lots of witches. WOW! I've never been to the Witch hunt that they have up there each year, but I'm thinking this year I just may have to go. I hear that all the women and little girls who go dress up as witches, I'm all for that! Anyone want to go with me?? I think this witch I found up there was hilarious so I had to take a picture.

Shannon Hadden Photography updated

I've updated some things on my photography blog, including my watermark on my pictures. I think this is the 3rd time I've changed it...but I like this one the best. It's simple and classy just the way I like things. Here's a picture of Conn with the new watermark.

Take a look at my site and tell me what you think. In the next month or so I'll be changing things completey by putting up an actual website, and whole new blog to go with it. So keep your eye out for it. :)

I have been tagged!

Thanks Kendra (at least I think it was me she tagged - who knows she may know another Shannon, LOL!) I've done this tag before but it's been a LONG time and I didn't do a very good job at it last time.

TAGGED!!

Here are the rules:
Link the person who tagged you.
Tell about 6 quirks of yours.
Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.

1. When I'm done taking a shower in the mornings I have a routine. If I step out of this routine it feels like my whole morning is ruined. I've never thought of myself as OCD, but I guess this could be something along those lines. Here's the routine; deodorant, g's (top on first), brush teeth, moisturizer on my face, under eye correction, brush out hair...then fix hair.

2. Here's another OCD/quirky thing I do. When coming home from church I have to, have to change out of my sunday clothes and into my sweats and t-shirt before I do anything else. I can't even go to the bathroom until I do that, and I usually have to go pretty bad when I get home. I even do my little bathroom dance while I'm changing. You'd think it would be easier to just go...but no...can't break the routine!

3. I have a lot of anxiety and in order to relieve some of it I do this little thing where I pick at my little "nubbin" that I've created on my finger. I know, I know! I need help! It's a pretty ugly thing that I've made, but I can't help not pick at it when I'm stressed, nervous, watching an action packed movie, or in deep thought. Like I said...I need help.

4. I sleep with ear plugs for a few different reasons. 1. I have heard of a story where a boy found out that a spider had laid eggs in his ears - it's a true story that was on KSL! 2. I said I'm afraid of everything and that includes ghosts. I don't want to hear anyone or anything whispering in my ear while I'm asleep. 3. If someone were to break into the house I'd prefer not to hear them coming in - I'd be more freaked out. 4. I like to hear myself breathing - it's soothing and helps me sleep better. 5. See # 2.

5. I'm afraid of the dark. If Ryan goes to bed before I do and I'm downstairs in the family room I have to turn on each light before I get to the next, then I turn on that light and go back and turn off the other one, and so forth until I get to our room. Pathetic - I know!

6. I love to look at house plans! When I'm waiting for Ryan to come to bed I'll get out my house plans book/magazine and search through them and decide which house is mine. I just have a lot of fun looking at all of them and imagining living in them. Sometimes I also like to go to Tiffany & Co. website and pretend like a have a lot of money and put a whole bunch of things in my shopping cart; including those diamond eternity bands that I would buy for all the girls in my family so we can all wear them on our pinky fingers, like Oprah does with her friend Gayle.

Jensen Family

Last February I had the opportunity to take this sweet little girls pictures. I was thrilled when her mom (my good friend and co-worker) asked me to take her pictures, and some family pictures, again. Although she was shy I was still able to get some cute shots of her.

...speaking of music

Time to brag about my talented family.

As I was uploading those clips of Conn from youtube I found these other ones of my brothers, minus Sean. As most of you know my Dad was a member of the group 'The Lettermen' back in the late 60's. For fathers day my brothers put together their own rendition of the song by the Lettermen, 'Hurt so bad'. Here's a little performance they did that day. It's so funny watching them because they're trying to make sure they get the harmonies right.

The second clip is something that, growing up in our house, was seen very often as my dad would try to teach us some 4 part harmonies. I love it!!!

The third is my amazing sister Erin with her killer voice. She's probably going to kill me by putting this on here, but hey she put it on youtube - so it's free game. :)

The Conn Curran band...

...minus the band. Conn is really getting things going with his Jazz singing career and I'm so happy for him. If you haven't heard my talented little brother sing, you really need to. He's incredible! I've included his most recent peformance video at the Scera Shell; check it out below.

We did this little photo shoot yesterday evening. I love how these ones turned out.

Video cut off - here's the second part...

Beautiful Brooklyn

Could you just die?! (name that movie). Little Brooklyn is so dang cute! I could not get over how beautiful she is and what personality she has. Check out her eyes - gorgeous!

Even though her hand is blurry in this one below - I still love how she looks.

Mortimer Family
