Weekend project

This past weekend we tried to get the girls together (minus Megan, Darlene, and Caiti in San Antonio - next time we'll face time with her) for a craft night. We wanted to do some Valentine crafts or anything else people wanted to work on. We went to Brianna's house where she had two table set up, glue guns everywhere, and chips and salsa (made by moi), and yummy Carmelito's made by Sharon. Holy cow, they were good...but not good for me.

I decided I needed a wreath I could hang on my door all year 'round and be able to change things out of it depending on the season/holiday. So, I got some burlap, wrapped it around the wreath and then found this cute heart thingy at Hobby Lobby to hang in the center. I need to get bigger/thicker ribbon to hang it on...but you get the idea. I want to get a letter "H", paint it and have it in the center when there aren't any holidays going on.

Not bad for my first craft project in a long, LONG time. In fact the glue gun I bought for this was the first time I've EVER purchased or had a glue gun of my own. Yeah, I've never been crafty. But I'm pleased with how it turned out. :)

Faith

This week I've been so focused on Faith. I've felt that I've been lacking in that department lately and I really want to re-focus on it.

I'm trying to focus back on putting Faith in Heavenly Father when it seems that things could be better in life. Knowing that he has a divine plan and that really I need to hang on for the ride, do my part, and know that he's in charge. If I'm doing everything I can there's no reason to fear, or fret, or get discouraged.

I read this quote on Pinterest today.I thought about that.

When I'm in the car thinking out loud as I usually do, and day dreaming, what do I day dream about? Usually it's that I have an unlimited amount of money and I'm dreaming of building my parents a beautiful home where all of us can visit and not feel crammed. I dream of getting them new cars (something they haven't had in...who knows how long, something reliable). I dream that in that new home is a large jetted tub for my Mom to soak all her cares and worries away. I dream that there is a library for my dad, a place where he can put all his many books. I dream that there is a craft room where my Mom can sew, and teach us all how to sew; have little sewing project days. I dream of a place where they don't have to worry about paying a mortgage. But I especially dream that they won't have to worry about finances; where my Mom can be a Grandma and not have to work at her school anymore, and stress over her students, but retire and enjoy life. That's my hope, that's where my mind wanders.

Maybe I shouldn't be so focused on money, but I can't help but think of all the exciting things that could be done with it. I find joy in seeing the reaction on people's face when something they've needed is given to them, no strings attached, life changing things...not just silly things.

I dream of me and Ryan living in a home with lots of land for Max to round around, and where our future kids can enjoy being kids. A place of love, peace, kindness and joy. I dream of a big garage for Ryan to do his thing. And a studio where I can do my thing.

Faith. What is it? Believing something you can't see...putting trust in something you can't touch, but knowing it's there. Faith is believing in God's timing, not my own. Faith is hanging on throughout the Journey, never falling off...or if you do...get back on and don't look back, only forward.

I hope my heart is in a good place when it wanders. I hope my Faith can bring about great things.

Sometimes...

Sometimes we have bad days, but mostly they are good.

Sometimes I shouldn't necessarily post about those bad days.

Sometimes I need reminding how great life truly is and blessed I truly am.

Sometimes I forget that I have a huge support system that involve family and friends, neighbors and co-workers. Texts, phone calls, emails, comments on here all made my day and helped make me realize how much support and love I have behind me.

Sometimes I need a little reminding about the above statement. And that sometime was last Friday.

Sometimes I get embarrassed when I realize that I need a little attitude adjustment.

Sometimes I just have to laugh at said attitude adjustment, and how immature I can be at times.

Sometimes I quickly get over bad days, sometimes it takes a little more time.

Sometimes, really all the time, prayer and crying things out makes me feel better. :)

Sometimes, I just need a little push in the right direction.

Sometimes, really all the time, a lesson on Living the Abundant Life can be a huge blessing.

Thank you everyone for your love and support and for simply caring. Love you all! :)

today...

Today I'm feeling PMS-y. TMI? Sorry.

Today I'm feeling sorry for myself.

Today is seems that everyone and their dog is getting pregnant.

Today I cried on my way to work.

Today people are irritating me.

Today some people need a high five in the face, with a chair.

Today I'm drinking some sparkling water with Vanilla Stevia, yum.

Today I wish I was at home with Ryan and not at work.

Today I want life to go the way I want it to go.

Today I know that the above statement isn't going to happen.

Today I want to already be at my goal weight

Today I know that I have angels behind me every step of the way.

Today I realized that the above statement was true as I was crying and praying in the car on the way to work this morning.

Today I wonder why it is the some people get pregnant and others don't.

Today I want some chocolate

Today I know that hard days like today don't define me, but they make me stronger.

Here's to today!
