Fun with 'picnik'
There is a website that I found that lets you put borders, text and fun things on your pictures, as well as help with the coloring - sort of a mini photoshop - but way easy. It's called Picnik. So, I found one of our wedding pictures (the only one we both like) and decided to give it a go. I think it looks pretty cute! Try them out - it's fun and free!

The boys are back!
After living in Texas for about a year my sister Megan and her two boys, Kalin & Kai are back in Utah, YAY! They came over to our house over the weekend and we sure had a fun time playing on our neighborhood playground. Of course I had to bring out my camera, here are some shots I got.
Just to let you know Kai is usually pretty smiley in his pictures...but he was trying to be a model, and not smile...silly boy!

Photo session - Herlevi's
We all have families who we feel that they are like our second family. I have a few of them, and one are the Herlevi family. Kris and I have been friends since the good 'ole days of High School. We spent many a nights hanging out at her house, baking cookies, watching movies, hanging out with the fam, and just being silly.
I have been taking their pictures for a long time, including the grandkids pictures since they were babies - it's crazy to see them all grown up. So, naturally I was thrilled when I was asked to take photos of them yesterday. These guys are so funny and so laid back. We had a great time! Here are just a few of the many that were taken. It was extremely hard to decide which one I should put up on here...but alas I have decided on just a few of my many favorites.
One of the funniest parts of this photo session was realizing how much of an amatuer I really am. I brought my sister Erin to help out as my assistant - since I knew we were going to get some of the night time sun, and needed some to help block it. However, I don't have those sun block/reflector things that most professionals use. We decided to go old school by using 2 different car visors, and some white poster board I grabbed before I left. I'm sure it was quite a site to see for all those professionals taking pictures around us...just look at the pictures.

Isn't this hilarious?! Thank you helpers! Couldn't have done it without you!!

Photoshop fun
My dear friend of 20+ years, Karen Jensen, (who is an amazing photographer) has been helping me with some photoshop actions. She was so kind to send some to me. Here's a little sample of the fun I've been having with my pictures. Mind you I'm still working on getting the tweeking down just right. They might look a little washed out on here. I don't know, let me know what you think? Click on the pictures so you can see them better.
Here is my gorgeous sister Erin with two different types of actions. I like them both. If you click on the picture you can see how blue her eyes look.

And my handsome nephew Gavin...check out those piercing blue eyes!

We have a Lexus!
...and I don't mean the car. Ryan's daughter Lexus is in town from Texas, hey that rhymed! She is such a funny and beautiful little girl, and we're so happy she's here to spend some time with us. I have been dying to take some pictures of her; she's such a poser! I think these pictures turned out well. Can't wait to get them framed!

Dance, dance, dance, dance, Dancin' machine...
My good friend and co-worker, Violeta, introduced me to "Dance, dance revolution". She plays it at home on her Play station. I...play it at work. I know! Life is sure rough here at XANGO. I mean our break room has a nice sized gym, ping-pong table, air hockey, 4 Huge TV's, couches, foosball...and my new favorite game. Here is a picture (taken by my boss, Kaj) of me & Alejandra practicing our new dance moves. And there's Rafael on the other side trying to get a shot of how goofy we look. I'm telling you this thing is a WORKOUT!!! I've got to get me one of these to play at home.
