Snow?

So as Ryan and I were driving home from the grocery store last night he posed the question, "so is this enough snow for you?" or something along those lines.

My answer:

BRING ON THE SNOW!! Didn't it look beautiful yesterday with everything covered in white fluff?? Oh I love it!!

Bridals - Julie L.

It was so much fun to take Julie's bridals. I grew up with her family in my parents ward; I even remember when this girl was born...yeah I'm getting old.

We had a bit of a crazy situation before the session even started. The poor girls zipper broke. We drove around trying to find a place near by that had some safety pins. Thanks to Ryan we found some. :)

It was also freezing cold and as you can see this tiny girl had no ounce of fat on her body to keep her warm. Thanks again Ryan for letting her use your coat in between takes. Despite all the chaos I'm so happy with the way these turned out. Can't wait to do your wedding on Saturday, Julie!!

I couldn't decide if I liked this one better in black or white. I love how this one looks though!!

Christmas Tag

To brighten up my days, and be merry through the holidays (which should be everyday of the year, actually) here is a fun Christmas Tag I borrowed from Laurie's blog.

Feel free to copy it and have fun on your blog too. :)

CHRISTMAS TAG

1. Do you like hot chocolate or egg nog?
I used to like Egg nog, but I can't handle the fact that it has all those calories and cholesterol in one single gulp...yikes! I prefer Stephen's Mint Truffle hot chocolate (although it still has calories).

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just put them under the tree?
Growing up "Santa" would put the majority of our presents on a special chair for each child, unwrapped and ready to go. After playing with everything on our chair we'd then go for the gifts under the tree.

3. Colored or white lights on tree/house?
White or white & red combined.

4. When do you put up your decorations?

After Thanksgiving, except I still have a box of things I still need to put up, and it's Dec. 9th....yikes!

5. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Mom's homemade cheese ball. I can eat that whole thing up in one sitting...no joke. Growing up we'd each get a box of our favorite cereal in our stocking, that was always the highlight of our christmas breakfast.

6. What is your favorite holiday memory from your childhood?
-Walking up the stairs one by one, oldest to youngest, (or youngest to oldest) going really slow to annoy everyone else who wanted to get up there really fast. Getting to the top of the stairs and being in AWE of the cool things we all saw...and then mom or dad standing in the middle of it with their video camera on.

7. Do you open a gift on Christmas eve?
When we were younger, and still to this day, we open just our pixie gifts Christmas eve. However, now that I'm married my husband just can't wait until Christmas morning to open presents. So, after we get home from my parents house we start our own little tradition and open things Christmas Eve. Then we go back to mom & dad's and open a couple things they have for us.

8. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
We bought a whole bunch of ornaments at Cracker Barrel our first Christmas and still use those. We add a few things each year, but stick with the same theme of more antique, vintage looking things. It's a pre-lit slim tree (Martha Stewart Collection from K-mart) and then we add some red lights to it, as well as some pretty berry garland. I love our tree!!

9. Snow! Love it or dread it?
Love it - but only during the holidays. It can go as soon as their over.

10. Do you remember your favorite gift?
I remember when I was 4 or 5 I got this doll with stars in her eyes. I loved it so much!!! Also, my husband got me a guitar our first year and I LOVE it!!! (need to play it more often...I try)

11. What is the most important thing about the holidays for you?
The whole magic of the season: Being with family, friends, seeing lights, snow, baking, love all around, giving, togetherness, serving others. That's Christmas to me.

12. What is your favorite Holiday dessert?
Again back to when I was younger, we'd always look forward to my Uncle Jack's big package of 'Petit Fours'. We would sneak into those things like crazy. Now he sends us a HUGE box of Oranges...I think he's trying to tell us something??? Also, my Aunt Eileen's fudge....the best.

13. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Opening pixie gifts on Christmas Eve, listening to Christmas music, eating soup and breadsticks for Christmas Even dinner...a candle lit dinner too. Going Christmas caroling, watching lots of christmas movies. My favorite though is opening gifts with Ryan on Christmas Eve.

14. What tops your tree?
A copper-ish, antique look of a Star.

15. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving?
Love to see people's faces as they open gifts I give. Not too concerned about what I get...ok I could be lying.

16. What is your favorite Christmas song?
'Merry Christmas darling' by the carpenters. Also, my Dad's "Lullaby-Christmas baby" song.

17.Candy canes?
I like them on trees, but not a fan of eating them. Although they taste great in hot cocoa.

18. Secret Santa?
Say what??!!

19. Favorite Christmas movie?

There's a movie that Erin, Caiti and I would always watch called, "All I want for Christmas", one of my favorites along with White Christmas. I also LOVE Elf!!!

20. Can you ice skate?
Sure, as long as I'm holding onto someone or onto the side railing.

An answer to my prayers

Life is good again. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas??

Not so much! Peeking out the windows this morning with a slight hope of snow was destroyed by blue skies and ZERO clouds. Grrr!

As much as I don't like driving in the snow I'm really hoping for a white Christmas, or even a white Christmas Eve, or a white 15th day of December...ANY day that comes bearing snow I will welcome, even if it doesn't stay on the ground just LET IT SNOW!!!!

I'm having a hard time getting into the spirit of Christmas without it. How in the world did we do it in Hawaii?! I mean, I still have a box of Christmas decorations in the living room that I haven't even touched.

No snow, no motivation!!!

Yeah, that's the attitude, right?!

Ok, I can still be motivated to finish my decorating with out the glistening white precipitation, just give me a little...that's all I ask!! Really!!

...for all you Twilight fans I thought this letter to Santa was funny so I had to include it, even though it doesn't have anything to do with the post. :)

Boubone & kids

These kids were serious troopers battling the cold weather; I hope the hot chocolate Ryan made helped. They were so fun and are such adorable kids, and a gorgeous family!! Can't wait to take your family pictures again in January when your husband comes home. :)
