Goodbye NC - it's been fun!

It has been so fun to be here watching Caiti's & Kurt's boys, Gavin & Ryan, while they were in Sweden.

I have loved driving around this gorgeous state of North Carolina and enjoying all the beauty it has to offer. I've been to Asheville, a gorgeous city with such charm. All I could see were amazing spots by old buildings to take pictures. Lake Norman (a gorgeous man-made lake upon which sits many beautiful, luxiry homes), Latte Plantation and to Barnett Elementary each morning as I took Gavin to Kindergarten, which in itself has been cool because each morning in the fields next to the school there was fog hovering just above the ground, almost eerily - but it was so cool to see. Every morning I regretted not bringing my camera with me in the van until today and lo and behold...no fog...just rain. But I did manage to snap a few on my camera phone from a prior day.

I have enjoyed taking pictures for some awesome families while out here. Can't wait to get home and start editing in photoshop - I'm going crazy not being able to. But first to see my honey, Ryan, and spend some quality time with him.

I've especially loved hanging out with my little nephews. We've had some fun times together; singing Maroon 5 and Michael Buble at the top of our lungs, watching Polar express while drinking hot chocolate, their favorite. Listening to them as they told me where to turn and how to get from one place to another, didn't even have to use the GPS system - they're so smart! They even taught me how to say, "turn left", "turn right" and "you have reached your destination" all in Swedish, not to mention showing me how to play 'Flight Simulator' and knowing eactly which airline is which, where they fly to and the different airplane types...did I mention they are two very smart boys???!!

I loved (and yes I actually enjoyed doing this) getting Gavin up at 6:30 (sometimes he was up before then) and get him ready for school, make breakfast for him (cereal) and see his precious smile as he waved good bye from the school doors. I got to walk with little Ryan to the bus stop every afternoon to see Gavin come off the school bus. Today he came off the bus holding the tooth he just lost (it has been hanging by a thread since I've been here).

You know for the first time I've really felt like a mom, and I have LOVED it. I could easily have done without some other things that happened every day, but I won't mention those things...TMI!! Let's just say...no...we won't say. Oh but I do love these boys! (sorry all these were shot on my camera phone...not the best quality)

Forgot to mention that before Caiti left she shared with me a yummy favorite recipe of theirs, home-made pizza dough and sauce. It was YUMMY!!! I helped her make it and I think I can do it on my own. However this time I won't wrap the dough up so tight in syran wrap or it will look like this little thing I created while waiting for it to rise in the fridge. Here's Caiti showing me the good way and the bad way to wrap it up.

I even found my dream house, with the big land around it, white fence, and TONS of trees surrounding it. Man, I love it here! I could mover here...I really, really could.
