"duh" moment.

I swear I'm having these moments more and more as the years move on. I'm afraid I'll be a victim of Alzheimer's by the time I'm 35. Sad.

Each morning I get up at 6:15, get dressed (in my pj's and jacket - looking ever so stylish!), and pull the car out of the garage and wait for Ryan to finish up some last minute things before taking him to work.

Well, this morning I grabbed my keys and went to unlock the door with the remote and it didn't work. I tried over and over again and nothing happened. "crap", I said out loud. So, I went back inside the house. This was my conversation with Ryan.

me: Can I trade you keys for a second?

Ryan: why?

me: because the batteries are dead in my car remote and I can't get in.

Ryan: So just use the key to unlock it.

....DUH! I stared at him for a second as I realized what just happened, and then turned away and went back out side. I could hear him laughing in the background.

He came to the car a few minutes later, pinched me cheek and told me how funny I was. Well, I'm glad it made him laugh...but I was pretty embarrassed!

Crazy me!

Now to me I would've done the same thing because wouldn't have the alarm gone off if it was set???

Was it the top cheek or the bottom? :) I have a million and one of those duh moments. It's super when most of your "duh" feedback come from your intellectually superior five year old.
