Deep Thoughts...
Since the beginning of the year I have been sending out a "Deep Thoughts, by Jack Handy" thought out to our whole Call Center. Now, that may seem weird to some - but it sure make for a lighter, happier mood around here.
Each time I send it out I always get an email back from my boss saying things like, "Ok - this is killing me, SO FUNNY!"
It makes me happy.
Here are a few of my favorite "Deep Thoughts"...
"When you die, if you get a choice between going to regular heaven or pie heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if it's not, mmmmmmm, boy."or
"To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?", you can say, "Sorry, got these sacks."
or
or
"I bet the main reason the police keep people away from a plane crash is they don't want anybody walking in and lying down in the crash stuff, then, when somebody comes up, act like they just woke up and go, "What was THAT?!"
or
my all time favorite...
"Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someones neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh, because what is that thing."
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!

I'm trying...really I am.
Everyday when I say my prayers I tell my Heavenly Father that I'm trying...really I'm trying.
What is is that I'm "trying?" Trying to be better, trying to eat right, trying to be kinder to my husband, and to others, trying to be happy, trying to not be sad, trying to do what is right, trying to exercise more, trying to get through trials with a better attitude, trying to have a better attitude in general, trying to kinder to myself, trying to be a better manager at work, and better to my agents and supervisors, trying to read my scriptures more often, trying to stress less and focus on the positive, trying to be a better YW advisor, trying to be a better photographer, trying to be a better wife, sister, daughter, auntie...etc, etc, ETCETERA!
As I'm writing all of this down I can't help but feel emotional. I stress too much about trying to be...when I'm not actually moving my feet, and doing it, and being it.
I tend to write and say I'm going to do things and then I don't follow through. Fear? Don't know. Not sure why I don't. So, I'm not going to write on here that I'm going to accomplish something.
I just know that I need to meditate, be alone for a while (but not too long, I'd miss my husband and my dog) and figure ME out. Set personal goals for myself and keep them to myself. Go on a vacation and re-boot, re-vamp my life, re-something...
Here's to setting goals and seeing them through. :)

I'm a meanie poo poo...
I love my job, I really do. However it can, at times, take it's toll on my nice-ness.
You see I'm a manager of a call center. I know...you're all thinking...gag...a call center? But I assure you, this is no everyday lame call center. This is XANGO! The best company there is! Our call center has almost no turnover, unlike others that are 100% turnover. We love it here. We care about our people, and we have fun!
However, those stressful times can really put a damper on my mood. Like today, for example. I'm working on agents monthly scores. The supervisors that I am over send them to me and I compile them. Well, I had a conversation with one of them, who is a dear friend, and we argued back and forth for a little bit because we both had understood something different and were trying to get our point across. We ended up going into a room where we could close the door so no one could hear us (we weren't yelling or anything...just being frustrated).
Anyway, I made her cry. Me!! I made someone cry!! I NEVER do that! I felt awe ful about it too. I apologized and told her that I wasn't trying to be rude, and that I'm sorry if it came out that way, but that I was just trying to get my point across and have her understand what was supposed to happen with the scores.
I'm a terrible person. I didn't care to think about what kind of a day she was having. I always hated those people back in my early work days that would make me cry. It usually wasn't because they were upset with me, but because I was having a hard day anyway, and they didn't know...just like today.
Looking back on the start of our conversation I can see where she thought I was being rude. I was being a brat...I really was. CURSES!!! When did I get like this???
I guess I really am a meanie poo poo....just ask my husband. :(

Sean & Brianna are ENGAGED!!!...the video
My little brother Sean asked me to record and take pictures of their engagement, to which I more than happily obliged! The only problem is that it was just me. I had my huge heavy camera in one hand and my little recorder in the other and trying to do both at the same time just doesn't work very well. So I apologize in advance for all the crazy movement of the camera.
Anyway...I'm so happy for them!!!! Brianna is amazing, beautiful, oh-so-talented, tall (she fits right into the family), did I mention beautiful and amazing? Yeah, and more! I'm so happy she's going to be in our family. We're so lucky!
Love you two! Can't wait until May!
