He hired me as a Supervisor back in 2005, and then helped in the decision for making me a Manager in 2006.
He was my boss for many years until last year when I became the Admin. He has seriously been the best person to work with. He's amazing!
Well, the day I leave for my Sabbatical he tells me, "umm...so this is goodbye...I'm leaving to go to Law School in NC and I'll have already left when you get back." Say what?!?!? I was shocked! I had no idea. I was sad, really sad.
So, on August 8th a 'Bon Voyage' was planned in his honor. I went to the office that day, had some pizza, chatted a while and said adios to Kaj.
Now that I'm back in the office it's not the same. Everyday around this time (4:00pm) we'd all get bored and start throwing balls at each other over the cubicles. As much as it drove me nuts - especially when they'd hit my face - I miss it. He was so much fun to work with.

This bottle is funny. It was left on my desk saying "I'm on my sabbatical". I thought it was funny.
