Sabbatical - Wyoming

The second week into my sabbatical Ryan and I drove up to Wyoming to see his family, and to see Lexus. It has been 2 years since we've seen that girl - and 2 years was WAAAAY to long. She was taking a vacation to see her Mom's side of the family in Wyoming, so we asked if we could see her for a few days as well, and thankfully we did.

Again, I will tell the story in pictures of what we did.

Each time we go to my In laws home I love looking at the pictures on their walls. Especially the old family pictures of them. Ryan and Jasi were such cute kids! And really...Ryan hasn't changed much.

 Visited Ryan's Aunt Kendy and Uncle John, and his cousin Jamie.

 He and John look and act the same. It's crazy!

 Have I mentioned how gorgeous the sky is there?

 These next few pictures crack me up! Lexus had brought with her a One Direction DVD of them in concert. Have I mentioned how much she loves them? 

Well, after we started it I look over and see her crying! Yes, crying for 1D.

Silly girl. Reminded me so much of my NKOTB days...

 The Irma Hotel in Cody is a big tourist attraction. It's very old, and it's haunted. 

The hotel was featured on Ghost Hunters, 

and they hold quite a few Ghost activities here

 Not going to lie, I was feeling a bit apprehensive about going in and see what the upstairs looks like. 

But it was exciting at the same time.

 "This spot is really, really cold. When I stand there I feel like I can't breathe". 

 After checking out ghosts we headed to the gift shop. I think Ryan should totally get that top hat.

 A few days later, on our way home, we drove through Red Lodge Montana. 

It reminds me of a mini Park City. It's got a a lot of charm and is a touristy spot.

I don't remember the elevation...but we were WAY up there.

 Now back into Yellowstone...

You can tell where the fire hit all those years ago.

 On the drive home we let Max out of the Kennel. His favorite spot in the car

is the floor on the passengers side. We turn the foot cooler on and he falls asleep.

 A very sleepy Max. Time to get home.
